Re: #4, the Spider-Mobile was a stupid idea, but there’s no
way he was 16 in that story. He’d been out of high-school and
in college for quite some time at that point. That still
doesn’t mean that he’d have a license, being a lifelong New
Yorker and all, though.

David Michelinie (who wrote the Spidey books at the time of Venom’s creation) should’ve done a better job thinking up a good motivation to why Venom hates Spidey.That would’ve made the Venom character so much better. Say what you want about the character, but Venom was probably the very last Spidey villian to have any drawing power. Take a look back and try to think of any Spider villian that had any drawing power since then (aside from Carnage. Ugh.) No one can think up any. Not even the various people running the Spidey books since then. That’s why they drug Norman Osborn back from the dead!

You’re right about Pete’s age when he was driving the Spidey-Mobile. I just went and checked. I relied on a Web write-up on the issues that had it wrong. I’ll fire the research department immediately.

All that you say is true about the Clone Saga — and yet it still sucks.
