THANK YOU. I have not seen this movie, but I had violent conniptions after watching the preview. They took a character that was sacred to me and just pissed all over it. I would rant & rave to those around me to blank stares & complete apathy. It boggled my mind. What if they'd 'jazzed' up Spiderman by giving him some automatic weapons, homosexual tendencies & the ability to shit bricks? Wouldn't people cry out? "This film would’ve been far better if it had not pretended to be about Sherlock Holmes." I was thinking the exact same thing. Make it about any other detective...hell, maybe Sherlock's dad. Now there would be an interesting twist. But PLEASE! Don't fuck with Sherlock! I swear, the villain in the movie better fit the mental image I had of Sherlock, physically.
