Excellent. You guys were great, and had the calm complexions of an expert prankster.
Also came from cockeyed.

Nice work, man. That’s pretty humurous.
July 26th, 2006 at 6:53 pm
Great quality too!
Did you know the TV was coming, or did it surprise you?
Good Job on your site.

We need to get an update! Are they still there? If not, when did they come down?
Oh, and very nice use of impermanent affixatives. I hope nobody gets the idea to go vandalise art after this. That’s not big, and it’s not clever.
July 27th, 2006 at 2:19 pm
Excellent.
What is the name of the first song that plays? Is it a TV show theme song?
July 27th, 2006 at 5:19 pm
Dave: We hoped the TV was coming, so we set up our Tivos to record all the local news. We got lucky.
tommy lee dover: Sorry you were bored.
RandomFerret: The glasses stayed up for about two days. We called the restaurant the next day and heard our story about C.R.A.C.K. parroted back to us. But the property manager took them down on Monday.
V: The song is the theme music from “Monsters, Inc.” from Pixar.

Cute - funny - good prank! But just one word: “Tripod”
July 27th, 2006 at 11:46 pm
Frank: Couldn\’t set one up where we filmed from. We\’re thinking about getting a monopod for stability instead. This was are first video project and we\’re still working out the kinks.

verrrry cool…i think the statue of liberty needs a groucho makeover!!!
July 28th, 2006 at 10:00 am
That was awesome. I would’ve peed my pants just from the fear of getting caught. LOL. And as usual, the news people get it wrong. I can’t believe she called them “sunglasses”. Does anyone see any tinted lenses in those things? Geez. And where’d the strap go? LOL.
Great job!
July 28th, 2006 at 11:34 am
You guys are absolute geniuses! Congrats on a brilliant job perfectly done!
July 28th, 2006 at 11:59 am

That’s the best thing I’ve ever seen. I suppose I should get out more.
July 28th, 2006 at 4:34 pm
AbbydonKrafts:
We noticed the newswoman called them sunglasses. She also referenced the ever popular “Father’s Day Hoax,” whatever that is.
The strap came off the first night. I went and did a repair with a staplegun. It came off again and then disappeared the next day.

Great vid. I loved the fact that the weatherwoman didn’t know that they were Groucho Marx glasses.
