   The Sacramento Bee ran an article on the fine art of playing pranks for their April Fools’ Day edition, and both operation groucho and groove is in the heart received nice mentions. Yours truly was even interviewed for the piece. Such as in last July, when John Marcotte noticed a giant sculpture of a human head — and saw an opportunity, a blank canvas, so to speak. Commence

    We need to get an update! Are they still there? If not, when did they come down?

    Dave: We hoped the TV was coming, so we set up our Tivos to record all the local news. We got lucky.

    RandomFerret: The glasses stayed up for about two days. We called the restaurant the next day and heard our story about C.R.A.C.K. parroted back to us. But the property manager took them down on Monday.

    Frank: Couldn\’t set one up where we filmed from. We\’re thinking about getting a monopod for stability instead. This was are first video project and we\’re still working out the kinks.
