You say that it was obvious that none of the writers was a woman because Biel's character had just gotten rid of a crazy, stalky ex-boyfriend when she decided to sleep with Nic's character, after he "seduced" her, and the next morning, when he gives vague reasons for having to leave right away, but also a promise of return, she kisses him instead of slaping him. It must be tough to be a woman when, even as an attractive 25-year old, you have so little self-control that you can easily be seduced by 40-year-old men with crazy hair...the way you say it, it's as if the woman bascially has no choice in the matter...but I don't see why someone who would sleep with a relative stranger so quickly after a terrible relationship would then act so sanely when he seems to be leaving her high and dry. If you're gonna believe a stranger is good enough to sleep with the night before, you're gonna believe he's good enough to trust the morning after. And anger certainly could be expected, but would be supremely silly, because she hadn't been acting in a way to protect herself, so why should she expect to be safe from more emotional pain?

This may very well be my favorite movie review ever. I need to stop by the site more often.

Never been a Cage fan, but John -- c'mon. "The Rock." That's all I'm sayin'. (We can forget about "Face/Off.")

Glad to be of service, Ian. This film really pissed me off, as the insane and overlong review should indicate. And you know, much as I have never liked the Ghost Rider concept or the Cage film, I was in my local comics shop last weekend and a kid (all too rare in comics shops these days) was asking the clerks if they had more Ghost Rider comics. So I can accept Johnny Blaze as a gateway drug, at the least.

Of course, I then watched the store clerk hem and haw over whether the recent Ghost Rider books released by Marvel's more "adult" MAX line were appropriate to sell to a pre-teen, and felt a whole different kind of creeping despair ...

Halfway through, my companion seized the pad and pen from me and scribbled her own note. No one has done this before. When I got home and found the right page, it said, “This movie sucks it.” She should have this gig. http://www.badmouth.net/next-2007/ [...]

Wow. Someone finally takes Cage to task for the enormous amount of suck he has unleashed since "Raising Arizona" (his last decent performance).

I have to admit as a guilty pleasure I enjoyed "Ghost Rider". It probably helped that I watched it with my 11 year old nephew so I was in a very forgiving mood.

I am trying to teach him about comic book characters; and, anymore instead of reading the book and then seeing the film it seems to work in reverse.

You have a very honest site and I will visit it often. I won't; however, be spending hard earned cash to see "Next" in the cinema.

Sorry, Nic. Isn't it bad enough that you named your child Kal-El.

Although my son Patch W. Logan III and I really enjoyed X3........NOT.

Thanks for the review, saved my wife and I $35USD
