interview: richard hatch

February 16th, 2006 by Mr. Lobo

Live from the floor of Wondercon, Badmouth brings you a brilliant interview with Richard Hatch — not the homosexual, back-stabbing, tax-dodging winner of Survivor – but the freakishly tall star of the hit 1970s science-fiction television program Battlestar Galactica.

The interviewer is Sacramento’s own Mr. Lobo who hosts the nationally syndicated television program Cinema Insomnia and is snappy dresser to boot.

It’s sad that I only recognized him as Tom Zarek from the new BSG series. Pretty cool that they cast him on the show, though. Anyone else from the original make it onto the Sci-Fi series?

I love the original version and warmed up to the new show eventually. THat said, I wish the original cast could return in a mini-series or an “alternate” revival. Bring back DIRK!

I’ve got to say, I’m super-confused about the Rev. Jeremiah Wright dust-up. I’m saying this stuff through an Obama-colored lens, I’ll admit — but in no particular order: Obama didn’t say any of this stuff, his preacher did. Compare and contrast this with the Bosnian sniper fire incident that Hillary Clinton seems to have gotten away with. Since when does ... [Link]

Take a look at the last item in this image, and you’ll see one of my complaints about the state of the news media in the U.S. A long time ago, in a Midwest city far, far, away, I was a journalist of sorts.
